NMPA Project Plan and SAMR Legislative Plan for 2020

On 20.03.20, the NMPA (National Medical Products Administration) announced the 2020 project plan and selection process for 86 medical device industry standards:- 52 industry standards to be developed- 34 industry standards to be revisedAn expert panel discusson about the 2020 project plan had been held prior to the announcement, and the public consultation was closed on 26.03.20.On 26.03.22, the SAMR (State Administration for Market Regulation) announced the 2020 Legislative Plan with a list of 55 legislative projects, several of which are related to the infant milk powder products, cosmetics, CCC products, special equipments, and medical devices.The SAMR expects to release the implementation details of the Legislative Plan throughout the year 2020, and aims to enhance the market surveillance in China by refining the existing regulations.
