CCC regulation CNCA-C22-01:2020 and CNCA-C22-02:2020 published

Beijing, June 2, 2020:
The Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China (CNCA) published in its announcement N° 14/2020 two new implementation rules for the product safety certification CCC (China Compulsory Certification) of children's toys and children's vehicle products. They come into force on July 1, 2020.

Approved certification organizations shall publish supplements for the implementation of the new revisions by July 1, 2020.

Existing and affected CCC certificates should be automatically updated by the certification organizations in the course of change applications by the certificate holder. A pro-active application for updating is not required on the part of the certificate holder at present.

CNCA-C22-01:2020 Stroller products/children's vehicles

It replaces: CNCA-13C-068

Scope of certification:

  1. Bicycles for children
  2. Tricycles for children
  3. Wheeled means of transport for children
  4. Baby walker

Applicable Chinese standards:

  • GB 14746 Safety requirements for bicycles for infants and young children
  • GB 14747 Safety requirements for three-wheel children's bicycles
  • GB 14748 Safety requirements for wheeled vehicles for the transport of children
  • GB 14749 Safety requirements for baby walking aids

CNCA-C22-02:2020 Toys for children under 14 years

It combines and replaces:

  • CNCA-13C-069
  • CNCA-13C-070
  • CNCA-13C-071
  • CNCA-13C-072
  • CNCA-13C-073

Scope of certification:

  1. Electric toys
  2. Plastic toys including dolls, plastic projectile toys and play mats
  3. Metal toys including metal projectile toys
  4. Riding toys

Applicable Chinese standards:

  • GB 6675.1 Toy Safety Part 1 - General Code
  • GB 6675.2 Toy safety Part 2 - Mechanical and physical properties
  • GB 6675.3 Safety of toys Part 3 - Flammability
  • GB 6675.4 Toy safety Part 4 - Migration of certain elements
  • GB 19865 Electric toys - safety
