Certification obligation according to CCC (CCCF) for 13 fire protection products cancelled

On 16. July 2019 the authority SAMR (State Administration for Market Regulation) published in its publication 36/2019 that 13 product categories for fire protection and fire fighting are exempted from the certification obligation for CCC. This applies from the date of announcement.(In this context, the abbreviation CCCF (CCC fire safety) is familiar for affected companies. It is also the acronym of one of the approved Chinese certification organizations, the "China Certification Center for Fire Products".)

From the CCC catalog have been omitted:

  1. fire hose
  2. sprinkler products
  3. fire-fighting vehicle
  4. extinguishing agents
  5. refractory building element
  6. foam fire extinguishers
  7. fire-fighting products
  8. fire protection products
  9. fire-fighting water supply systems
  10. products for gas fire extinguishing systems
  11. dry powder fire extinguishing systems
  12. products for fire smoke and smoke extraction systems
  13. fire protection communication products

It was also announced that for certain product groups which are used in public spaces and residential buildings, certification according to CCC is still required.

Have not been cancelled:

  • fire alarm products
  • fire extinguishers
  • escape products
