China Export Requirements for Coronavirus Protection Supplies

On 25.04.2020, the China’s Ministry of Commerce announced (No.12-2020) the requirements for exporting coronavirus detection reagents, medical masks, medical protective clothing, ventilators, and infrared thermometers, replacing the requirements announced (No.5-2020) by the NMPA (National Medical Products Administration) on 31.03.2020.
The latest regulatory announcement requires exporters to provide the declaration of conformity to state that the product meets the applicable regulations of its destination country, and the overseas product registration certificate for customs clearance.
This replaces the previous stricter requirement that local Chinese manufacturers of various coronavirus-protecting personal protective equipment had to be approved by the NMPA for export.
