China Water Efficiency Label update in force on July 1, 2022
China water efficiency label will have a transition period until July 1, 2023, before it must be applied for products which were manufactured or imported before July 1, 2022.
The updated catalogue was published jointly by the authority NDRC (National Development and Reform Commission), the ministry of water resources and authority SAMR (State Administration of Market Regulation) on December 2, 2022.
The updated catalogue will come into force on July 1, 2022.
Affected products which are imported into the P.R. China from that date must have a valid approval.
With the date of enforcement more customs controls on this requirement are to be expected.
