On August 7, 2019, the authority SAMR (State Administration for Market Regulation of the Peoples Republic of China) published that its online traceability system for quality and safety information of elevators was launched as a pilot project.The traceability platform is intended to facilitate the supervisory work of the supervisory authorities by collecting a large amount of data. AI technologies are to be used for evaluation and automatic notification, for example on the use of imported components or complete elevators, when and where an installation took place, the necessary renewal of parts, and much more.Participants are located in the provinces/cities: Tianjin, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Fujian, Hunan, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Sichuan Province, Guizhou Province and Nanjing City. In particular were mentioned among other things: Shanghai Mitsubishi Elevator Co., Ltd., KONE Elevator Co., Ltd., Hitachi Elevator (China) Co., Ltd., Kangli Elevator Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Guangri Elevator Industry Co., Ltd., Southeast Elevator Co., Ltd., Toshiba Elevator (China) Co., Ltd.According to the plan, the system is to be used first in Heilongjiang Province, Shanghai Municipality, Fujian Province and Guizhou Province from October 1, 2019 and will be mandatory.Other provinces and cities are to complete their implementation work by the end of 2019.
