The China Quality Certification Center (CQC) published further support measures to contain the Covid-19 pandemic. It is also a step to improve efficiency.
The NMPA (National Medical Products Administration) announced the 2020 project plan and selection process for 86 medical device industry standards.
New product certification regulation from organization CCAP for automobile lighting, external plastic parts and break disks
On 04.02.2020, the authorities SAMR (State Administration for Market Regulation) and CNCA (China National Certification Administration) published in their Notice No 9/2020 general support measures to contain the corona virus outbreak. Chinese certification organizations are bound by these requirements.The measures include:
- Processes are to be optimized so that personal contact is reduced as much as possible.
- Factory inspections by a Chinese certification organization, which must be postponed due to the current situation, must be communicated openly with the affected certificate holders in order to fix an alternative date by mutual agreement. Or other solutions are agreed upon.
- Applications for factories that have stopped production due to the outbreak and are unable to complete an inspection of their manufacturing plant in order to obtain the desired certification (e.g. CCC - China Compulsory Certification), but are subject to a time limit for this, may not be suspended. The necessary inspection should be completed at the latest 3 months after the official announcement that the state of emergency has been lifted.
On 17. Oct. 2019, the CNCA also announced that 17 product groups were added to the system of CCC manufacturer declaration.
Beijing, 09.Oct.19: The authority SAMR announces reformation measures for production licenses. Brake pad products will require CCC certification in future.
Beijing, 28. August 2019: The authority CNCA announces certification organizations approved for CCC certification for EX and household gas appliances.
From July 16, 2019: Certification obligation for CCC (CCCF) was cancelled. E.g. for: fire hose, sprinkler products, extinguishing agents, and others.
From Oct. 2019: Explosion protection products, gas appliances for household use and refrigerators and boxes ≥ 500 litres are relevant for CCC certification.
Beijing, 07.05.2019: Updated standard GB 15742:2019 for acoustic signaling devices for motor vehicles (horn/fanfare) will enter into force on 01.01.2020.
The Chinese authorities CNCA and SAMR announced on 03.12.2018 that several product groups will no longer be subject to CCC certification...
For products that are no longer relevant for CCC (Chinese product safety certification) since June 15, 2018, new guidelines for voluntary certification have been published. Specifically for brake hoses/pipes, fuel tanks and fanfare for motor vehicles; motorcycle engine and e-bikes.
